Secure Innovations & Concepts Inc pushes Braithwaite ‘all the way’

WIFBSC Championships in T&T…

The Guyana National Rifle Association (GuyanaNRA) last week made a call to corporate Guyana for more support for Guyana’s riflemen who are participating in this year’s edition of the West Indies Fullbore Shooting Council (WIFBSC) Individual, Long and Short Range Championships being held in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; and Secure Innovations & Concepts Inc. (SI&CI), located at Durban Backlands in Georgetown, has answered that call.
Denzel Hopkinson, Aviation Security Director of SI&CI, has handed over to Guyana’s outstanding rifleman Lennox Braithwaite a cheque for the full sponsorship of his participation in these championships, which run from October 21st to 26th.
Commenting on the SI&CI continued support for Braithwaite, Hopkinson said this leading local and Caribbean marksman is part of the SI&CI sporting family, and his commitment to the sport, coupled with the results he achieves therein, has caused the SI&CI to unhesitatingly sponsor him again.
Hopkinson also said the SI&CI has a rich history of supporting other sportspersons, including Steven Nobrega of Go Kart and Motor Cross Riding fame.
“We at SI&CI, no doubt, are proud to once again support Mr. Braithwaite in his quest to once again conqueror his counterparts in the Caribbean later this month in T&T. We know (of) his ability in the sport of rifle shooting, and his recent exploits in England, where he captained the West Indies team at the NRA 150th Imperial Meeting and also did well in the individual competition, where he reached top 100 of the Queen’s Final.”
This young Hopkinson, whose father Harold, aka ‘Top Gun’, has been blazing the trail as a hand gun shooter locally, regionally and internationally, noted that his company is backing Braithwaite and the Guyana team to again achieve the high standards of winning in the twin-island republic this year.
Braithwaite, in response, expressed gratitude to Secure Innovations and Concepts Inc. for the unwavering support given to rifle shooting and to him in particular.
“For a number of years now, I’ve been receiving regular sponsorship and part-sponsorship from SI&CI. The record will show that, for the last eight years, my shooting has (been elevated) to international standard and I’ve been consistent. This, I would say, is due to (my having) a reliable sponsor, which takes away (from me) that additional mental pressure to go out procuring sponsorship,” he explained.
Braithwaite and the Guyana team are expected to travel to Trinidad on Sunday.
