A 31-year-old security guard was stabbed to death while walking along the main access road in North Rupununi, Lethem during the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Dead is Hemchand Persaud of Lethem who was stabbed once to his abdomen. His assailant has since escaped.
An investigation has been launched.
