The semifinal lineup in the 4th edition of the East Bank Football Association’s (EBFA’s) Under-11 League, sponsored by USA-based Guyanese Ralph Green, will be confirmed today following determination of the final set of group matches being held at the Guyana Football Federation’s National Training Centre at Providence, East Bank Demerara.

Twelve teams are in contention in this league, but only four — the top two teams from groups ‘A’ and ‘B’ — will continue the quest to be crowned 2019 champions. They must first be victorious at next Saturday’s semis.
Defending champions Timehri Panthers and newcomers Vurlon Mills Academy are through from Group ‘A’, with Mills Academy still to play their final match today. They are leading the group with a perfect four wins from four encounters, and can make it a ‘perfect five’ today.Riddim Squad are at the helm of Group ‘B’ and are assured of a place in the final four, having completed their five matches by winning three and drawing two, thus they are still undefeated.
Agricola Red Triangle are at the moment in second place on nine points, but can be overtaken for second place in Group ‘B’.
Kuru Kururu Warriors, with seven points and a final match today against Swan Football Club, their immediate neighbours on the Linden Soesdyke Highway, still have a chance to sneak in.
Swan secured their first win of the league on Saturday last, and would be keen to end the competition on a high. They, however, will find the Warriors — with two wins, a loss and a draw — going all out for a third win that would see them clinching a final-four spot ahead of Agricola.
