Slingerz FC scores support from West Vybz Sports Bar
West Vybz Sports Bar has become the latest sponsor for Slingerz Football Club, after the Tuschen-based entity officially announced its alliance with the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) club on Friday.

The West Vybz Sports Bar’s emblem is also featured on the club’s uniform, with Javed Ali, Slingerz FC president, stating that Slingerz are hoping to make this a feature for some of their sponsors.
Proprietor of the West Vybz Sports Bar, Jai Balgobin, has said West Vybz Sports Bar would continue its support of Slingerz FC. He has said, “We endeavour to embrace the club’s vision, and we look forward to continuing our partnership.”
Slingerz FC president Javed Ali has said Slingerz welcome the support from Balgobin, and, “This is not a sponsorship, but more so a collaboration. We want to work together with Corporate Guyana, because what we’re doing is bigger than football.”
West Vybz Sports Bar has now joined Forrester’s Lumber and Building Complex as the businesses that are backing the club.
After a six-year hiatus, Slingerz, former Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League Champions, have made a winning return to play, defeating Uitvlugt FC 3 – nil on Wednesday.
The club will be in action on Sunday, when the WDFA STAG League continues at the National Track and Field Centre at Leonora. They will take on #1 All-Stars from 20 hours in the final match of a triple-header.
