Slingerz supplies nine as Golden Jaguars select 24 for Nations League

Nine Slingerz Football Club (FC) players have been named in Guyana’s 24-man squad for the 2026/2027 Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Nations League, as head Coach Marco Bonofiglio prepares the Golden Jaguars for their opening match against Puerto Rico on September 24.
The League B, Group A encounter will take place at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica, from 15:00h, beginning a four-match schedule across the September–October international window.
Slingerz has the largest representation of any club in the squad announced by the Guyana Football Federation (GFF). Its contingent is spread evenly across defence, midfield and attack, with three players in each department.
Kvist Paul, Leo Lovell and Raushan Ritch are the club’s defensive selections, while Curtez Kellman, Darron Niles and Solomon Austin have been named in midfield. Bryan Wharton, Kelsey Benjamin and Neron Barrow join the forward group.

The squad also includes Guyana Defence Force goalkeeper Emmanuel Lewis and Police goalkeeper Akel Clarke, taking the number of players listed with Guyanese clubs to 11.
Bonofiglio has selected eight forwards, with Omari Glasgow, Isaiah Jones, Osaze DeRosario, Enoch George and Deon Moore completing the attacking department. Nathan Ferguson, Nathan Moriah-Welsh and Elliot Bonds are the other midfield selections.
The GFF said the team’s focus was on delivering competitive performances and strengthening Guyana’s standing on the regional stage.
Guyana will face Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands and Dominica in Group A. League B comprises 16 teams divided into four groups, with each side playing six group matches. The four group winners will advance to the League B Championship.
After facing Puerto Rico, the Golden Jaguars will remain at Windsor Park for their September 27 meeting with the Cayman Islands, also scheduled for 15:00h.
They will then move to the Estadio Centroamericano Juan Figueroa Freyre in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, for successive matches against Dominica on October 1 at 17:00h, and October 4 at 15:00h.
