The teen appeared at the Wales Magistrate’s Court and admitted that on January 30 at Lust-en-Rust, West Bank Demerara, he stole a silver band, 6 diamonds and ½ oz of raw gold from his mother.
In court, the Prosecution disclosed that the Virtual Complainant (VC) was at home on the day of the larceny and made certain checks around the house, thus she discovered that the articles were missing. She made additional checks to locate the items, but to no avail. After realizing that the articles were missing, the woman made a report to the La Grange Police Station. Her son was later confronted by Police, and admitted that he had stolen the items. In Court, the teen also admitted to the magistrate that he had indeed stolen the items; as such, the probation report was ordered.
The case will continue on March 20, when a sentence will be imposed. In the meantime, the teen has been released into his mother’s custody.
