The Police are on the hunt for a Sophia, Greater Georgetown resident who allegedly attacked and fatally stabbed another man on Monday evening. The dead man has been identified as 36-year-old Kevin Smith of ‘C’ Field Reserved Dam Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
Based on information received, on the day in question at about 18:30h, the victim was at home when he was attacked by a 22-year-old man who was armed with a knife.
As a result, a scuffle ensued and it was then, the suspected reportedly stabbed the victim to his chest, lower abdomen and above his left knee.
Due to the stab wounds, Smith reported fell to the ground and died almost immediately. The suspect, on the other hand made good his escape.
Smith’s body was subsequently taken to the Lyken’s Funeral Home awaiting a post mortem. The police have since processed the murder scene and interviewed several persons as investigations continue.
