In the East Coast Zone, played at the National Park Tarmac, Stars blasted their way to 134 without loss in the seven-per-side, six-overs-per-team encounter to record the highest total on the opening day. They defeated Goran Gladiators in the process, restricting them to 58-4.

The overwhelming response from Georgetown on Sunday has resulted in a roll-over to Sunday, July 23, at the National Cultural Centre Tarmac, where play will commence at 9:00h. Results from the second day will be provided in a later publication.
Meanwhile, starting today at Uitvlugt ground on the West Coast of Demerara, twenty-five teams from the West Side will be engaged in what is expected to be thrilling action.
