Stewartville and Uitvlugt Warriors were latest teams to record victories in the West Demerara Football Association/STAG Beer Senior League.
Playing at the Den Amstel Community Centre ground, Uitvlugt brushed thumped Beavers 4-1, while Stewartville defeated Wales United 2-0.
The undefeated Uitvlugt side now has 13 points and is in third position while Beavers remain in the cellar position on a solitary point.
The deadlock between the two teams eventually was broken by virtue of an own goal in the 34th minute by Uitvlugt. Kevin Duke was the first to etch his name on the score sheet when he netted in the 38th to end a dominant first half.
Twenty-five minutes into the second period, Duke’s sibling Kevon added to the score and one minute later, Casper Evans sealed the comfortable victory.
The undefeated Uitvlugt side now has 13 points and is in third position while Beavers remain in the cellar position on a solitary point.
In the second match, Stewartville eased to 2-0 win over Wales United after Paul Hector and Orette Stephenson netted in the 22nd and 43rd minutes respectively.
Stewartville now has 13 points and is in fourth position while Wales are still on eight points and in the seventh position.
On Saturday, Young Achievers will clash with Wales FC from 14:00h followed by Pouderoyen against Beavers FC from 16:00h.
Sunday, will see Uitvlugt tackle Jetty Gunners from 14:00h then FC Eagles play Golden Warriors from 16:00h.
