Dead: Rajindranauth Persaud

Nigel Kaidnauth of Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne), was not required to plea to the charge when it was read to him by Magistrate Alex Moore.
The charge detailed that on May 20, at Princetown Public Road, Corriverton, Corentyne, he drove motor car HC 8511 in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of 57-year-old Marsha Adiana of Skeldon Riverside, Upper Corentyne.
Reports are that Kaidnauth was proceeding south along the eastern carriageway of the Princetown Public Road in Corriverton and Adiana was on his pedal cycle proceeding north along the western side of the road when Kaidnauth allegedly swerved west and collided with the cyclist.
According to Police, as a result of the impact, the father of three fell onto the road’s surface, where he received injuries to his body. He was picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to the Skeldon Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Kaidnauth was released on $150,000 bail and will return to court on July 16.
