Latoya Kennedy, a teacher of Charity Village on the Essequibo Coast, was on Tuesday charged for dangerous driving in absentia, after she failed to make her appearance at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court. Magistrate Sunil Scarce also issued a summons for her to appear in court.
Kennedy was involved in an early-morning accident at Airy Hall Village last week. While proceeding south on the eastern side of the Airy Hall Public Road, she reportedly lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a snackette belonging to Latchmi Seeram of Lot 11 Airy Hall. Seeram estimated the damage at $1 million.
Kennedy was later apprehended by Police and placed on $20,000 station bail.
