Teen arrested following Police operations

Police ranks in Regional Division #3 conducted an intelligence-led operation on Thursday, during which a quantity of marijuana was found at two separate locations. Also, a 17-year-old was arrested during the operations.
Police have said that at Vreisland Backlands, West Bank Demerara, a search was conducted on a black bulky plastic bag that was found abandoned in a clump of bushes. Inside the bag was a quantity of ganja. The drug was later weighed and amounted to 155 grams.

The cannabis that was found in the teen’s possession

At the Bagotville Junction, WBD, a 17-year-old male who is a carwash operator was searched, during which a transparent plastic bag containing ganja was discovered in his right-side pants pocket. He was told of the offence committed, cautioned, and arrested. He and the cannabis were taken to Parfaite Harmonie Police Station, where the cannabis was weighed in his presence and amounted to 57 grams.
The teen remains in custody pending charge.
Investigations are ongoing.
