Teen arrested with illegal gun, ammo

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force have arrested a 16-year-old East Coast Demerara (ECD) resident after he was found in possession of an illegal gun along with matching ammunition.
It was reported that after receiving certain information on Monday evening, ranks went to a house at Chateau Margot, ECD, around 21:30h and conducted a search.
They subsequently found a .32 pistol with one matching round of ammunition in a black case in one of the bedrooms.
The 16-year-old suspect remains in Police custody and is assisting with the investigation.
