Teen killed in Albouystown accident

Nineteen-year-old Ronaldo Jaundoo of Lot 589 West Ruimveldt, Georgetown met his demise in an accident that occurred at Barr and James Streets, Albouystown, Georgetown on Thursday at about 16:30h.

According to reports, the young man was riding motor cycle CH 9086 heading east on James Street when he collided with motor pick-up GVV 8249 which was proceeding north on Barr Street.
He fell off the bike and was picked up in an unconscious condition and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC), where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
His body is currently at the GPHC Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
The driver of the pick-up vehicle, a 47-year-old resident of Lot 2675 La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, was made to undergo a breathalyser test, but no trace of alcohol was found in his system. He was nevertheless taken into custody to assist with the investigations.
The motorcycle Jaundoo was riding is reportedly registered to Michael Clarke of West Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
