Nineteen-year-old Ronslee Isaacs, also called “Rocky”, a miner from Kako Village, Upper Mazaruni River, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni), was charged and remanded to prison on a murder charge on Thursday.
Police stated that he murdered 23-year-old Graig Hastings, of Kako Village, Upper Mazaruni River. The details of the incident were not provided by the Police.
However, Police did report that Isaacs appeared virtually before Teriq Mohamed at the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court, during which the charge was read to him. He was not required to plead to the indictment; as such, he was remanded to prison until June 12, 2026.
