Teen remanded for court tout’s murder

An 18 year old, who was an alleged accomplice to the murder of court tout Darrell Breedy, was on Wednesday charged for murder and remanded to prison.

Leon Patterson of B Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. It is alleged that on October 5, 2019, at Hummingbird Street, Festival City, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he murdered Breedy during the course of a robbery.
The case was adjourned to February 10, 2020.
Two weeks ago, 26-year-old Terrence Pitt, called “Sonna Boy” or “Shots”, of Third Street, Timehri, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was also charged for the tout’s murder.

Patterson was previously charged for robbery under arms and illegal possession of a firearm.
