Teen robbed at gunpoint in supermarket

A 17-year-old female was on Wednesday evening robbed by two males at the Diamond Mart Supermarket, Diamond, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Based on information received, the teenager was relieved of one gold AJ8 Samsung phone about 19:35h by the duo – one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Police stated that the victim was approached by the two perpetrators who demanded cash. At the time, one of the men was pointing the handgun at her face.
The armed man then pushed her to the floor, snatched her mobile phone, and ran out of the supermarket. His accomplice followed suit and they both escaped. The matter was reported to the Police and an investigation was launched.
No arrests were made.
