Teen slapped with murder charge

A 21-year-old who has been accused of killing Keith Andrew Willis was on Tuesday charged for the crime and remanded to prison
Tafari Softley appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court. It is alleged that between December 13-14, 2020, at Bachelor’s Adventure Access Road, he murdered Keith Andrew Willis called “Ghandi”.
The case was adjourned to April 22, 2021.

In December 2020, the lifeless body of 23-year-old Keith Andrew Willis called “Ghandi” was discovered a short distance away from his Bachelor’s Adventure residence.
Reports are that the father of one left his Lot 374 Bachelor’s Adventure residence on December 13 to attend a football competition in the community. The game concluded at 20:30h, after which he went to visit his girlfriend, who resides at Paradise Housing Scheme, ECD.

Police said that at about 23:00h, the young man left his girlfriend’s residence for home, however, at around 05:30h on December 14, a resident of the community who was heading to work observed Willis lying motionlessly on the roadway. The Police were called and the man’s body was examined. There was a single stab wound to his upper left side neck. (G15)
