Thieves escape with cash after smashing vehicle window

stole cash and documents from the vehicle.
Speaking with Guyana Times on Wednesday, Sandy Persaud explained that she visited the location to attend a wake at about 19:30h with her four-year-old daughter.
The woman explained that she parked the vehicle a short distance away from the wake house, locked the door and left. Persaud said she returned to her vehicle at around 20:15h to retrieve an item and realised that the front left passenger window to the car had been shattered.
Upon inspection, the woman noticed several items were missing including $30,000, US$300, her identification card and bank cards.
The burglary was reported to the Beterverwagting Police Station, ECD.
No one has been arrested but investigations are ongoing.
