Transport dominates Everest in GCA U17 Enline U-17 clash

Transport & Harbours Sports Club produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Everest Cricket Club by 105 runs, when the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)Under-17 Enline Security Logistics 50-Overs competition resumed yesterday.
Playing at the Transport Cricket Ground, Everest won the toss and opted to bowl, but Transport & Harbours responded with an imposing 242 all out in 37.2 overs.
Mickel Johnson led the batting charge with an aggressive 73 from just 49 deliveries, striking eight fours and three sixes. He received valuable support from Emmanuel Lewis, who scored a brisk 55 from 32 balls, including three fours and five sixes.

Prosper Jacobus added a useful 28 lower down the order, as Transport posted a challenging total.
Everest’s Brandon Brown was the standout bowler, claiming an impressive six wickets for 65 runs from his allotted 10 overs.
Chasing 243 for victory, Everest struggled against a disciplined Transport bowling attack and were dismissed for 137 in 34.4 overs.
Orwin Jordan and Vinesh Kalpoo were Everest’s leading scorers, both making 20, but the visitors were unable to establish any meaningful partnerships.
Transport’s bowlers maintained pressure throughout the innings, with Nyia Latchman and Jacobus claiming two wickets apiece to lead an effective all-round bowling effort.
With Everest eventually bowled out for 137, Transport & Harbours Sports Club secured a convincing 105-run victory and made a strong statement as the Under-17 competition continued.
