El Dorado, having won the toss and elected to bat, posted a competitive 334 all out in 78.4 overs, with Keon Franklin leading the way with a patient 80 from 179 balls, including six fours and three sixes.
Carl Kumar contributed 41 from 88 balls before being run out, while Nitini Permaul added a brisk 38 from 37 deliveries.
Leg-spinners Riyad Latiff and Raiz Latiff claimed two wickets apiece for Transport, while Jeremiah Hohenkirk and Renaldo Grenville also finished with two wickets each.
Transport ended the opening day on 55 without loss and resumed the second day looking to build a substantial response.
Riyad Latiff fell for 38, but Emmanuel Lewis and captain Hohenkirk steadied the innings with a 106-run partnership for the second wicket.
Lewis struck 55 from 64 balls, including two fours and three sixes, before departing, while Hohenkirk followed shortly afterwards after scoring a patient 79 from 109 deliveries, with six fours and two sixes.
Transport appeared well placed, but a middle-order collapse brought renewed hope for El Dorado as the hosts slipped to 242 for six, with their first-innings advantage still in doubt.
Shamar Apple kept Transport in the contest with an attacking 73 from 66 balls, striking eight fours and two sixes. However, his dismissal leg-before-wicket, followed shortly afterwards by Akeem Redman’s departure, left El Dorado firmly in contention.
With Transport at 284 for eight, Riyad Latiff and Shaun Massiah held their nerve to guide the team across the line. Latiff scored 31 from 75 balls, while Massiah contributed 20 from 32 deliveries as Transport reached 335 for eight, edging ahead by one run to secure the decisive first-innings points.
The determined lower-order resistance proved crucial, allowing Transport to finish ahead of El Dorado and claim the championship after a tense final that tested both sides’ resilience.
