They were all wearing masks and reportedly approached the door, attempting to open it, but the victim immediately contacted the Police and raised an alarm.
Acting on separate information received, Police intercepted three males at Fisher Dam, Zeelugt, EBE. During a search, they found a black firearm with three matching rounds of ammunition in a haversack that was being carried by one of the men, and as such, he was taken into custody.
Police added that a further search was conducted on the other suspects, during which another firearm with three matching rounds of ammunition was found concealed on the 23-year-old, thus leading to his arrest.
The firearms and ammunition were taken to Leonora Police Station, where they were lodged while investigations continue. The Police have since retrieved CCTV footage that is being reviewed.
