Truck runs over man at Rockstone

Thirty-five-year-old Orlando Fredericks is now dead after he was run over by a truck at 16 Miles Rockstone Trail, Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice). The accident reportedly occurred at about 01:30h on Monday.
Police stated that Fredericks was reportedly lying on the roadway when he was run over by an unknown motor vehicle which drove off the scene without stopping to render assistance.
The man was picked up by public-spirited citizens in an unconscious condition and taken to the Linden Hospital Complex where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
His body is presently at the Pensioners Mortuary awaiting post-mortem as investigations continue.
