TSC cruise to into final with 8 wicket win over Police
GCA/Noble House Seafoods 2nd Division Tournament…
TSC marched into the final of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/Noble House Seafoods second division two-day competition with a comprehensive eight wicket victory over rivals and host Police Sports Club over the weekend.
Resuming the second day on 184-5 the visitors added a further 76 runs to their overnight score before they were bowled out. Shawn Massiah top scored with 51, adding just 7 to his overnight score while Azeem Azeez chipped in with 29 and Akeem Redman made 12not out as TSC fought to gain a big first innings lead.
Vishaul Jaigobin snatched 6-84 for the lawmen in yet another top bowling display Having to score 143 to make the visitors bat again, Police scored 167 all out. Reginald Rodrigues top scored with 35 while Stephen Harris and Paul Tyndall scored 31 each.
Devaughn Nandan, who took two wickets in Police’s first innings and scored 43 in TSC’s first innings completed a fine all-around match with figures of 4-65 in the host second innings.

Set 25 to win, the visitors lost two wickets in pursuit of the target. Ryan Hemraj got 20 on TSC second innings journey to victory
The win saw TSC book their place in the final for a second successive year. They will now be seeking the title after going down to UG in 2015 finals. The Thomas land side will have to await the verdict of Everest Cricket Club in their no show against GNIC in the other semi-final.
