The donation was made by Safraz Sheriffudeen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the satellite company located on Delph Street, Campbellville.
Sheriffudeen disclosed that the donation is part of the company’s continued efforts to play a greater role in social development of communities, and by default individuals.
This is not the first time the entity has supported a sporting cause, since they have sponsored cricket tournaments on the island of Wakenam, and assisted their brand ambassador, Windies all-rounder Keemo Paul, with giving back to Saxacalli.
More so, Dahar, who is a former member of the club, explained that he was elated to partner with V-Net Communications, given their emphasis towards development of youths.
Ricardo Adams, currently playing for the Guyana Jaguars in the regional Super50, is a product of the club, which has over 60 years of heritage.
Club captain Navishaul Pooran was quite appreciative of the gesture, which according to him will be extremely useful to the young members of the club, who number approximately 80 active members.
Meanwhile, Essequibo Franchise captain Antony Adams was on Monday rewarded with a new gear bag for his stellar work. He led the franchise to both the Three-Day and 50-Over league titles in two years.
