Juan Reynier Velazquez Calzado and Vance Harding finished at the top of the men’s standings when the Grab It All Beach Volleyball Tournament concluded on Sunday, June 28, at Kingston Beach.
The pair ended the two-day tournament unbeaten, winning all four of their matches and eight sets to finish with 168 total points. They edged Ian Bagot and Evgenii Titov, who also completed the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record and eight set wins, but finished second with 152 points.

Steffhawn Norah and Tyrone Farley placed third in the men’s division after playing three matches and ending with one win and two losses. They collected two set wins and 101 total points. Corwyn Richards and Alex Newton also ended with a 1-2 record and two set wins but finished fourth with 86 points.
In the women’s division, Cherry-Ann Fraser and Mercedes Matheson topped the final standings after playing five matches and finishing with four wins, one loss, eight set wins and 225 total points.
Kim Chan-Bagot and Semira Greene finished second in a close race, also playing five matches and ending with three wins, two losses, six set wins and 224 points, just one point behind the winners.
The tournament was held under the Guyana Beach Volleyball Association banner and formed part of the Guyana Beach Volleyball Association’s continued push to keep beach volleyball active and competitive locally.
