Vendor slapped with robbery charge

A Bourda Market vendor of Lot 564 ‘B’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was taken before Magistrate Faith McGusty on Wednesday to answer to a robbery charge.
Simeon Truman appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts and denied the charge which stated that on June 21, 2019 at De Abrue Street, Georgetown he robbed Karen Adams a quantity of items valued at $77,000.
Prosecutor Annalisa Brummel did not object to bail since no confrontation was held between the Virtual Complainant and the 21-year-old defendant.
Magistrate McGusty released Truman on $75,000 bail. As a condition for bail, he is required to report to the Brickdam Police Station every Friday until the completion of the trial.
