Victoria Kings, Den Amstel win in goal rush

The fifth round of matches in the Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) Elite League Season III kicked off on Sunday at the Den Amstel Community Ground on the West Coast of Demerara and saw two lopsided matches as Victoria Kings FC and Den Amstel FC came out on top of their respective clashes.
Playing in the first game the Kings took on the Cougars and scored two goals either side of halftime to claim a resounding victory.
Aubrey Gibson was the first Victoria player to find the back of the net just after 10 minutes to put his side in the lead; however, Mark Wronge stood up for the Cougars three minutes later to grab the equalizer but that would be the last bit of resistance for his side. Calvin De Souza was the next Victoria player to net poking one home in the 38th minute.

Six minutes later Keswin Fraser made it 3-0 with a sumptuous strike only for Phyll Hugh to pull one back for the Buxtonians in the 83rd.
