Berbicians are gearing up for the biggest costume and float parade on Sunday in New Amsterdam. The parade will commence at Stanley Town and head into Espanard Ground for a grand wash down.
Several floats are already en-route to the Ancient Country and from all reports, the event will be massive.
Organisers have confirmed that several floats that were on display at the Georgetown costume and float parade are heading to the Ancient County. However, the Saturday before the grand event, the New Amsterdam Stelling Road will come alive with “Water, Soca, Powder J’Ouvert”.
It will be a ‘wet and dutty event’ that will feature some of the best deejays in the business. These include Gully Ras, Selector Diamond, Delly Ranks, Selector Thunda, Seen Up and Deejay Unruly. The event is promoted by Banks DIH under its GT Beer brand and sponsored by Payless Variety Store and Homeline Furnishing.
It will be a crazy night, one that cannot be missed. After the J’Ouvert, get ready for the road tramp which commences at 10:00h.
