WCD man stabbed after accusing neighbour of stealing

A West Coast Demerara (WCD) man has been hospitalised after he was stabbed several times about this body by his neighbour.
Injured is 29-year-old Davindra Harrikissoon of Edinburgh, Anna Catherina, WCD.
The incident occurred sometime around 16:30h at the No 2 Koker, Anna Catherina.
Based on Police reports, Harrikissoon and the suspect were at the koker in the village when an argument broke out between them after the now injured man accused the suspect of stealing his brother’s music box.
The suspect became annoyed, picked up two glass bottles and stabbed Harrikissoon about his body before making good his escape.
The matter was reported at the Leonora Police Station, and the injured man was escorted to the Leonora Cottage Hospital. He was treated by a doctor for stab wounds to his back, chest, navel area and above the left eye.
Harrikissoon was later transferred to the West Demerara Regional Hospital. His condition is listed as stable.
Meanwhile, checks were made for the suspect but he was not located. An investigation is in progress.
