We need clarification from President Irfaan Ali

Dear Editor,
While I am not in support of a PUBLIC LYNCHING of Nigel Dharamlall, in that he should not be fired because of current allegations against him, President Irfaan Ali needs to clarify that he supports the Police and DPP in their work. And, as such would welcome the Police Force arresting and charging Dharamlall if there is enough evidence to do so. The DPP can then prosecute the charges.
The current circus by which this case is being passed from the Police to the DPP and then back to the Police Force will not do. Nigel Dharamlall needs to be charged or not charged, to end this political circus.
Ministers are not above the law, and everyone is equal in the eyes of the law. The Police Force needs to do its duty, and either charge or not charge Dharamlall, regardless of if the alleged victim withdraws the charges.
Guyanese expect better from their Police Force and its DPP.
The complainant is a minor, who is susceptible to adult influence/coercion. The original charges stand.

Sincerely,
Sean Ori
