Who will be crowned Miss World Guyana?

– pageant set for tonight at Pegasus Hotel

After weeks of intense training, public appearances and preliminary competitions, the 10 delegates competing for the title of Miss World Guyana are ready for the grand coronation set for this evening at the Pegasus Hotel, Kingston.
Less than two weeks ago, Andrea Marslowe, Lalita Baliram, Joylyn Conway, Lateifha Goodluck, Donnette Linton, Nichola Munroe, Dianna Persaud, Ambika Ramraj, Tracy Smith, and Breeanka West were sashed as regional representatives for the pageant and from that moment they have all been great ambassadors.
After the sashing, the delegates were engaged in the fitness competition at the Lusignan Golf Course followed by the top model segment at Marriott Beach front and the Beauty with a Purpose Fair.
Now with the preliminary scores in, the delegates will have the most important task ahead of them; that is, to impress the esteem panel of judges and the audience this evening.
The scores from the preliminary competitions will be tabulated and will assist in the elimination process. The quest for the Miss World Guyana title began with at least 35 delegates indicating their interest in vying for the crown but after the interview segment, a total of 18 delegates were shortlisted then again another eight were eliminated and today, we have the “cream of the crop”.
It all boils down to this evening as the delegates showcase the culmination of beauty with “Super G’s” as they display qualities such as “generous, genial, good, gregarious, golden, global, gifted, graceful and Guyanese”, and highlight the Miss World Guyana organisation’s commitment to promoting Guyanese talent to the rest of the world.
