Wildlife exporter shot during robbery

A wildlife exporter was on Thursday afternoon shot and injured during a robbery at Victoria Street, Albouystown, Georgetown. Injured is Imole Fox of Lot 94 Regent Street, Georgetown.
The 44-year-old man was shot to the lower right leg while another bullet grazed his head. Based on information received, two men, including a serving member of the Joint Services, went to Victoria Street and while there, they met with the suspect and soon after a physical altercation ensued.
During the altercation, one of the men whipped out a gun and discharged several rounds hitting the victim. The suspects then relieved Fox of a bag containing a bunch of keys, mobile phones and medication for animals.
The injured man was picked up and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was treated. The two suspects were later arrested.
