Woman nabbed with cocaine, ganja at Parika

A 39-year-old woman, of Leguan Island, Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara), is currently in custody after Police uncovered a quantity of cocaine and cannabis in her possession.

The 90 grams of ganja that was found

Reports are that on Saturday at approximately 14:20h, ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) acting on information received, went to Parika, East Bank Essequibo (EBE), where they approached the woman and conducted a search of her person and belongings.
During the search, they discovered 16 grams of cocaine wrapped inside three Ziploc bags, along with 90 grams of ganja in a black plastic bag.
The woman was arrested and an investigation was launched.

In fact, on the same day, a man and a woman were taken into Police custody after more than 18 kilograms of ganja was found in a motor car along the Zeelugt Public Road, EBE.
