Women robbed by knife-toting bandits at Eccles

Two women were left traumatised after they were robbed by two knife-toting bandits at Old Road, Eccles, East Bank Demerara (EBD), on Saturday.
While there are no official reports from the Police about the incident, Guyana Times understands that the women were standing alongside the road when a motorcycle carrying the two men pulled up in front of them.
Video footage seen by this publication showed the pillion rider jumping off the motorcycle, approaching the women, and relieving them of their belongings. The suspects subsequently made good their escape.
Since the incident, Guyana Times has made several efforts to get details on the incident from the Guyana Police Force’s Public Relation Unit, but all efforts proved futile.
