Youth football action heats up today at Buxton Ground

The inaugural round of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF)/East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) Youth Ensemble Under-13 League has already delivered excitement, emerging talent, and fierce competition as teams battle for early supremacy in the EDFA competition last weekend.
According to the latest standings released on May 20, 2026, Buxton Stars sit proudly at the top of the table after an impressive opening performance. The young side secured a convincing 3-0 victory to earn three points and the league’s best goal difference of +3.

Close behind are Melanie Football Club (FC) and Haslington Stars FC, both also on three points after winning their respective opening matches. Melanie FC recorded a strong 3-1 victory, while Haslington Stars edged their opponents 2-0 to claim third place.
Golden Stars FC occupy fourth position after a narrow 1-0 win in their first outing. Meanwhile, Victoria Kings FC and BV/Triumph United opened their campaigns with a draw, earning one point each.
At the lower end of the standings, Plaisance FC, Mahaica Determinators, Mahaicony Western Lions, and Ann’s Grove United are all searching for their first points of the season after suffering opening-round defeats.
The next round of fixtures is set for today, May 23, 2026, at the Buxton Ground, where fans are expected to witness another exciting day of youth football action.
