2 in custody for attempting to break into Alberttown business

Two men were arrested after they attempted to break into a business place along Lamaha Street, Alberttown, on Friday evening.

The items that were seized by Police

Police stated that a 39-year-old resident of Lamaha Street, Alberttown, reported that he was awakened by dogs barking, and upon checking, he saw the two men in the yard of the business place.
The suspects were later identified as an 18-year-old fisherman of Riversview Housing Scheme and a 35-year-old fisherman of Cooper Street, Albouystown, Georgetown.
The resident told Police that upon seeing the men walking in the yard of the 21st Century building, he raised an alarm, and the suspects began to run.
He reportedly gave chase and managed to apprehend one of the men along Lamaha Street between Light and Cummings Streets. Subsequently, a party of Police arrived at the scene where the other suspect was apprehended in a yard.
A search was carried out in the yard of the 21st Century building, and one claw bar, a drill, and other items were discovered in a bag in the yard.
The suspects were placed into custody at the Alberttown Police Station pending investigations, and the items were lodged.
