A motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 18:30h on Sunday along the Three Friends Public Road, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), has left one man injured and another person in critical condition.
According to information reaching Guyana Times, the driver of the vehicle has been identified as Avi Persaud, who sustained minor injuries. The other occupant, whose identity has not yet been released by authorities, is reportedly in a critical condition.

Additional information revealed that the car was travelling at a high rate of speed when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision with a lantern post within the village. The impact caused the vehicle to flip and land on its side, leaving it extensively damaged.
Public-spirited citizens who were in the area responded promptly and assisted in removing and transporting the injured persons to the Lima Regional Hospital, where they are presently receiving medical attention.
