The Guyana Horse Racing Authority is calling on horse owners to present all two-year-old horses for inspection ahead of the Caricom Cup on July 5.
Horses will be inspected on Saturday, June 27 from 12:00h at Port Mourant Turf Club, and on Sunday, June 28 from 12:00h at Bush Lot United Turf Club, West Coast Berbice.
“All owners are required to present their horses for inspection, microchipping, and registration on the designated dates and times.

“Any two-year-old horse that is not properly registered, microchipped, and vetted will be refused entry into all future race meetings and race cards until these requirements have been satisfied.
“Owners are further advised that a fee will be charged for the veterinary examination, microchipping, and registration process.”
“Your cooperation is appreciated as we continue to strengthen the identification, integrity, and welfare standards of horse racing in Guyana,” the Horse Racing Authority informed.
Importantly, veterinary inspection will be done by a team from the Agriculture Ministry.
