Approximately 200 Pupils and students along with their teachers participated in the Guyana Rugby Football Union’s End of Year Tag Rugby Festival on Friday at the National Park, Rugby field.

With brilliant sunshine, the pupils from the Primary level were introduced to the game of rugby while the secondary exercise their knowledge of the game through competition. Competing in the boys under 14 category were Covent Garden Secondary, North Georgetown Secondary, Tucville Secondary, St. Georges Secondary, Dolphin Secondary and Campbeville Secondary.
North Georgetown Secondary claim victory over Tucville Secondary in an exciting final. St. John’s College defeated North Ruimveldt Multilateral Secondary in the under 16 category bringing the day’s activities in the National Park to an end.
The St John’s outfit defeated North Ruimveldt Secondary in the final five-nil while North Georgetown bettered Tucville Secondary by the same score line.
