3 women slapped with larceny charge

Three women – Shenella Adams, Onica Cambridge and Tiffany Edwards – were all charged with robbing an American citizen when they appeared before Magistrate Dylan Bess at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

They all pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on January 8, 2017 at Main Street, Georgetown, they robbed Adrian Sanchez of one cellphone valued $50,000, one wallet and $9000 in cash.

According to the defendant, the girls attacked him on the day of his arrival in Guyana and took the items from him. However, he told the court that he was returning home in a few days and as such, he did not wish to pursue the matter. The Magistrate placed the girls on a bond to keep the peace for 12 months with a strict warning that if they failed to do so, it would result in them being incarcerated.
