Home News 4 nabbed for robbing Brazilian woman, driver
Shortly after four armed men had executed a brazen daylight robbery on a Brazilian and her driver at Oleander Gardens, Bel Air Springs, Georgetown, the suspects were arrested at a house at Circle Front, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
Upon their arrest, most of the items they had stolen were recovered, and the men were positively identified by the victims. The men, who gave their addresses as East Ruimveldt; Mocha; and Quamina Road, Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara, have all confessed to the crime.
Reports are that the Brazilian woman had hired the taxi to run some errands, and upon arriving at Bel Air Springs, she and the driver were confronted by the armed men, who grabbed a bag containing an undisclosed sum of money and other personal items before fleeing the scene.
The Police were contacted, and their diligent work resulted in the men being apprehended. The suspects are now being processed for court.
