Ravi Etwaroo of Cricket Zone, USA on board with “Cricket Gear For Young And Promising Cricketers In Guyana” project

Popular sports store owner Ravi Etwaroo is the latest sponsor to support the project: “Cricket Gear for Young and Promising Cricketers in Guyana”.
Etwaroo, whose business is based in the Bronx, USA, has donated a new E4 bat, his own brand. This initiative is a joint effort of Kishan Das of the USA and Anil Beharry of Guyana. The founders of the initiative are delighted to have the opportunity to help promote the E4 brand, and at the same time provide an opportunity for a young talent in Guyana.
The two have lauded Etwaroo’s role in the development of cricket in Guyana and the USA. They also said Etwaroo is always generous and willing to give back to the sport, and they are very thankful.

Their aim is to provide cricket gear free of cost to young and talented cricketers in Guyana. The project is seeking new and used cricket gear which would then be distributed across the length and breadth of Guyana.
Total cricket-related items collected so far: cash for first aid kit, two cricket boots, twelve pairs of batting pads, twelve bats, nine pairs of batting gloves, and four cricket bags.
Sixteen young players from the Essequibo Coast, Pomeroon and the East Canje area have already benefited from a junior gear bag, five bats, six pairs of batting pads, and four pairs of batting gloves. Two clubs in the Pomeroon would also benefit from two used bats.
Talent spotting will be done across Guyana, along with guidance from club leaders to identify the players. Players must be in school and be disciplined. Players above school age would also be considered.
