MVP Sports hands over sponsorship for Magnum Independence Cup

Tonight’s semi-final matches in the Magnum Independence Cup would involve Back Circle tackling Gold Is Money and Sparta Boss coming up against Bent Street.

With these matches, being played at the National Park tarmac, always delivering riveting action, the Magnum Independence Cup futsal tournament is easily the most talked about tournament in Guyana, and it has now gained support from MVP Sports in the form of sponsorship.

I cannot thank the company enough for their continued confidence in me and the level of administration that engineers their corporate support. This means a lot to these teams, and by extension their communities, when they see big companies giving back in these ways” Jefford shared.
The losing quarter-finalists will compete in the Magnum Plate Championship. The eventual winners would receive $40,000. Melanie will oppose Future Stars at 19:00h tonight, while North East La Penitence will lock horns with Showstoppers from 19:30h.
Winners of the quarter-final ties would progress to the semi-final round slated for tonight at the same venue. The winners of the tournament will collect the package of $700,000 and the championship trophy, while the runners-up will receive $400,000 and the corresponding accolade. The third- and fourth-place finishers would walk away with $200,000 and $100,000 respectively.
