
A 26-year-old man from Middlesex, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) was granted $350,000 bail on Thursday after being charged with possession of a firearm without a licence, along with several traffic-related offences.
Brandon Allicock, an operator of Middlesex, appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Ravindra Mohabir, where the charges were read to him. He pleaded not guilty.
Allicock was charged under Section 16 (2)(a) of the Firearm Act, Chapter 16:05, for possession of a firearm without a licence.
He was also charged with four counts of dangerous driving, contrary to Section 36(1) of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 51:02, and driving with a breath alcohol level exceeding the prescribed limit, contrary to Section 39A(1) of the same Act, as amended by the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Amendment Act No. 17 of 2022.

The court granted bail in the sum of $350,000 for the firearm charge, with the condition that Allicock reports to the Anna Regina Police Station on the first and third Friday of every month until the matter is concluded.
He was granted self-bail on the dangerous driving and alcohol-related charges.
The matter was adjourned to September 2.
