Guyana will host the Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Junior Championship from July 1-9 and the 12-time champions have all intentions to make it another year of being undefeated.
Guyana Squash Association (GSA) President Robin Lowe, in a recent interview with Guyana Times Sport, contended that although the team have been dominant for over a decade, the championships would be no walk-over on home turf.

“It is not going to be a walk-over; it is always going to be a fight. Guyana has dominated over the past 12 years which in itself is a feat; we have the advantage this year playing home, but the other teams are playing hard as well,” Lowe expressed.
The locals will have the likes of Junior Champion Shomari Wiltshire; Taylor Fernandes (who is playing in her final season as a junior); Alex Cheeks; Makeda Harding and Abosaide Cadogan among other talented players to carry the fight to the opposing teams.
