Former Caribbean Motor Racing Champion (CMRC) Matthew Vieira got his 2018 campaign off to a wonderful start with two first place finishes at the Jamwest circuit in Negril, Jamaica on Sunday.
Based on reports coming out of Jamaica, Vieira was well on his way for a clean sweep, holding a healthy lead when he veered off the track in his final race. Powering his Yamaha R6, he clocked a fastest lap time of 1:20.00, and was simply two gears ahead of his opponents on a grid which had 28 riders.
Upcoming Talent Raverio Tucker, on his first outing at the track, had a personal best of 1:23.00, finishing sixth in his third race. His other two positions were 9th and 10th.
