Arokium Funeral Home has always supported cycling in the Ancient County, in particular the Flying Ace cycling club, and this latest gesture will certainly aid in development of the riders who will compete in this weekend’s showdown.
The first stage of the race will pedal off at 7:30hrs from outside the Corriverton Police Station and end at Main and Alexander Streets in New Amsterdam. The second stage of the race, to be contested on Saturday, May 15, is scheduled to start at 14:00hrs at the Rosignol Stelling in Region 5 and end on Carifesta Avenue in Georgetown.
The final stage is billed for Sunday, May 16 from 7:30hrs. Cyclists will race from Linden to outside of the National Sports Commission on Homestretch Avenue in Georgetown.
Cycling Coach and President of the Flying Ace cycling club, Randolph Roberts, has expressed gratitude to the Arokium Funeral Home and to Anthony’s Funeral Home.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport has fully supported this race, and this weekend’s encounter will mark the return of the Independence three-stage, which was last held in 2016.
