Today we will feature another one of our Art of War 2018 combatants – Delroy Edwards, also known as “Delly Ranks”.
He is 20 years old and the youngest DJ in the competition. Edwards hails from Ithaca, a village on the West Coast of Berbice.
He started his musical career at the tender age of 17 and is attached to the Thunderbolt Sound System.
He has been in the sound business for five years. “Delly Ranks” has competed in four clashes and won one trophy. His preferred musical weapons of choice are dub plates and 45s.
His focus as a deejay is to always play music to please his fans and his versatility has been his strongest quality. He is self-inspired and even as a young child, he dreamed of a career in the music industry.
Edwards’ most memorable moment as a DJ was when he won the Berbice Mr Hype 2017 title.
