Aurora residents concerned over treatment of impounded animals

Scores of residents in Aurora Village, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), have registered concerns over the treatment and deteriorating health of animals that get impounded at the Aurora Police Station.
Residents said the animals are kept in unkempt conditions and this was reported to the Aurora Police Station some six months ago.
To date the conditions remain the same and according to residents, the animals have been impounded for over 10 months.
Residents are concerned that the animals are rarely fed or given water for their survival. According to them, reports were also made to Prime Minister Mosses Nagamottoo who promised that the matter will be looked into.
